bio:

This is our 2nd year that we have had the privilege of leading worship for the Connect Retreat, and we are so excited to participate, learn and grow alongside new friends. We were excited to learn that something like this existed; there are other couples out there balancing work and love! Its our heart to encourage others through authenticity, music, and story. We look forward to connecting with each other, God and community on a deeper level!

from the hearts of Tim & Stephanie:

Coperlily | Tim & Stephanie

We met while both on Gotee Records pursuing separate musical projects. It was in Phoenix, AZ in 2009 at the tail end of TobyMacs Winter Wonder Slam Tour that sparks flew, and emotions ran high (name that reference). Shortly after, Tims band House of Heroes asked Stephanie to sing on their song God Save The Foolish Kings and the inevitable flirting began. A casual 6 months later, Tim asked Stephanie to be his girlfriend and two years after that, on November 3, 2012 we were married.

Music has always been an important part of our lives. Stephanie toured for 6 years as a solo artist and Tim has logged a strong 14 years and counting, but believe it or not, we actually really enjoy being together and our former means of touring meant being apart. Copperlily is our answer to that.

In our first couple years of marriage, music has been one successful way weve learned to communicate. Weve written these songs with each other and for each other, and in doing so, weve begun to understand the others world better. But neither of us feel thats where these songs end.

We want to share this with the world. What we have right now are 2 EPs, and a full length album that all reveal a side of love and yet they are not all love songs. Ultimately, we hope that you will identify with these songs as weve written about hope, loss, failure, success, and what does it mean to love well through all of it.

There can be no vulnerability without risk; there can be no community without vulnerability; there can be no peace, and ultimately no life, without community.
